Decolonising the Curriculum Music

This manifesto was presented by academics David Chavannes and Maria Ryanthis at the Temple University Theory, History, and Ethnomusicology Society’s Fifth Annual Graduate Conference, Pedagogy Symposium in the USA on 13 April 2018. The text combines the manifesto—which they designed as a standalone document— and the script that was presented at Temple. There are seven manifesto points which are intended as assertions or provocations which could lead to action.
